“What's really going on, Kion? You can tell me.” Kiara prompted gently. Kiara's expression softened as she recognized the anxiety in Kion's tone, and she moved closer to him, brushing her tail along his spine. Startled out of his musings, Kion glanced over at her. “Where did you go, Kion? Are you okay?” Kiara asked worriedly. He was too distracted in his thoughts to notice Kiara emerge from the den she came over to join him. Kion gazed upwards at the sky, his thoughts clouded with worry and anxiety over what he'd seen. When he reached Pride Rock, he headed up to the peak, and settled down. He began to make his way to Pride Rock, his mind clouded by thoughts of what had occurred. Soon, make the choice that will impact you forever.”īefore Kion could respond, the spirit faded, and he was left fixed in a state of unimaginable stupor. “There is a great darkness coming to a place of life. Kion stared transfixed at the spirit above him, feeling his paws tremble with shock. You have a great responsibility to uphold.” Suddenly, Kion's eyes widened in shock as a spirit appeared amongst the clouds above him. Around him, a soft breeze whistled through the tall grass stalks, and gradually grew stronger, bewildering the teenage lion. He glanced up, noticing that the sky was dotted with small stars and four stars in the shape of a diamond. He exited the den, and made his way into the Pride Lands, heading towards a grassy field, not far from Pride Rock. Irritated by his inability to succumb to his exhaustion, Kion stood up and carefully made his way towards the entrance of the den, moving quietly past the members of the pride, who slept soundly in their nests. His body was constantly twitching, his eyes were still open, and he was struggling to fall asleep. Inside the den of Pride Rock, Kion was curled up in his nest. After receiving a startling prophecy from an unknown lion, Kion talks with Kiara about his scar and his growing feelings for Mhina.
